From the cosmopolitan, welcoming, cheerful and curious Barcelona, a safe city which offers a rich culture, Mediterranean cuisine, a very mild climate and attractive sightseeing, we are pleased to invite you to attend the 12th WCCM 2009 on 24th, 25th and 26th September, 2009.

 

We appreciate the confidence the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) has placed in us to organize this event. Our concern is to make this congress a very special one and we will devote all our efforts to reach our goal.

 

We hope that this WCCM 2009 will be a benchmark in terms of the current situation and future prospects of the various medicines derived from ancient Chinese medicine. That is why we have chosen the topic for this congress inviting the best specialists and institutions, not only from China but also from Japan (Kampo), Korea (Korean traditional medicine) and the rest of the world. To present from a perspective of integration, together with the iMTC (integration of the oriental medicines derived from ancient Chinese medicine and the Western medicine) the current state and future prospects, for the benefit of humankind.

 

The magic of Barcelona will certainly achieve that the congress attendees take many new friends, professional contacts and joyful moments back home; a valuable experience that will make their professional performance more efficient and competent – an unforgettable memory for the rest of their life.

 

We can only encourage you to participate in 12 th WCCM 2009, a very special event, besides hosting the General Assembly of WFCMS which should elect the new executive committee who will govern the plans of this important institution for the next four years. Strategies and working plans will be approved which will be decisive for the positioning of the professionals and institutions of the sector in the different countries of the world.
